Group Therapy

Autism spectrum disorder is a developmental condition that is characterised by impairment in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication, and repetitive behaviors. According to studies, the parts of the brain that control and coordinate communication, social interaction, and sensory skills are not functioning properly in autistic children. We are assisting other parts of the brain to take on these functions by undergoing intensive training. For effective intervention methods, it’s important to do a proper assessment and group children according to their behavioural characterisation.

What Is Group Therapy?

Group therapy is mainly focused on teaching social and communication skills to children with autism. These groups are small, consisting of two or more kids who will be directed by a trained therapist. We have to group the children according to their age, linguistic skill, and social-emotional aspects.
